Criminal LawThe Criminal Law Group of Atlantic Chambers is led by Stuart Driver QC. We have counsel at all levels of experience and seniority. The Group provides advocacy and advisory services in all classes of criminal case from the straightforward to the most serious and complex.
Members of the Group prosecute on behalf of a wide range of agencies including the CPS, Customs and Excise, Health and Safety Executive, Probation Service and a number of Police Authorities. Counsel in the Group receive instructions to defend from a large number of solicitors in the North-West and beyond. We have particular expertise in police law, proceeds of crime and fraud together with regulatory work with civil elements such as anti-social behaviour, sexual offence prevention orders, football orders, closure orders and the seizure and retention of cash and property. Though based in Liverpool, members of the Group practice in the Magistrates and Crown Courts throughout England and Wales. Our commitment to providing an efficient and cost effective service means that members are happy to travel to solicitors offices for consultations and conferences.
The Group is clerked by experienced criminal clerks assisted by an efficient team of administrators. Chambers boasts modern premises with conference facilities and a state of the art video-link suite allowing us to link up with prisons and courts across the country.
