Family Law

Family Law is an important part of the work of these Chambers, traditionally undertaken by a majority of the members here and in recent years the focus of a specialist group to ensure that all areas of this complex and diverse area of law can be met to the highest standards.

As a group we undertake all aspects of Family Law ranging from the initial divorce proceedings, the sensitive and difficult applications concerning children and the financial consequences of separation for both married and cohabiting couples.

In addition we regularly act on behalf of local authorities in the North West of England and North Wales in respect of all types of public law applications dealing with children as well as acting for parents and Children's Guardians.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of advocacy and advice at the same time as recognising that our work is for those who are facing sensitive and difficult times. In our practice at the Family Bar we regard it as essential to blend that commitment with the needs of our clients.
