Mark Chester specialises in Civil Litigation (including Personal Injury) and Civil Proceedings in the Criminal Courts.

Mark's Judicial Review practice includes advisory work.  He appeared before the Administrative Court in the case of Sagar v. HMCS Merseyside,  involving a refusal to tax solicitor's costs after a successful due care trial.

Mark has a developing practice working with :-

·        Trade Unions (NUT, GMB, Unison, Amicus, NASUWT for personal injury and/or employment law work);

·          Police Forces (Merseyside Police and North Wales Police)

·         Councils (Chester City Council, Sefton Borough Council, Wirral Borough Council, Wrexham Borough Council);

·         Major Employers (Interbew, Mersey Docks & Harbour Company, Post Office and NHS Trusts)

In preparation for the Administrative Court opening in Manchester in 2009 Mark attended the course of Administrative Court Procedures seminars carried out by Brian Thompson of Liverpool University Law School at Atlantic Chambers in 2008.

Mark is keen to develop and broaden his Judicial Review practice acting for both claimants and defendants.
