Natalie Cuddy specialises in Criminal Law, Family and Proceeds of Crime.  She has a particular interest and experience in Police Law and in Prison Law.

Natalie is regularly instructed by Merseyside Police Authority in a variety of work throughout their remit.  She appears frequently on behalf of the Chief Constable in the Magistrates' Court, Crown Court and the High Court (Family Division).  As part of her criminal practice Natalie appears frequently for the prosecution and defence in cases concerning Trading Standards,  The Education Authority and Health and Safety Executive.

Natalie is developing significant appeal experience; advising on appeals by way of case stated and on matters for referral to the Criminal Cases Review Commission and appearing before appellate tribunals at all levels including Mental Health Review Tribunal and the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division).  She has a particular interest in prison law and Parole Board hearings. She has a range of adjudication experience before prison disciplinary tribunals and experience representing prisoners recalled on licence.  She is keen to develop this area of her practice.

Natalie has a strong family law practice which encompasses both private and public law cases with experience at all levels.  She is regularly instructed in cases concerning Local Authority public functions in relation to children.  This work has particular emphasis on care homes, secure accommodation, fostering and adoption.

Building on recent academic experience of Administrative Law (specialist module on Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University Law School of Liverpool) Natalie has continued to develop her knowledge in this area.

Recent events attended include the course of Administrative Court Procedures seminars carried out by Brian Thompson of Liverpool University Law School at Atlantic Chambers in 2008 shead of the opening of the Administrative Court in Manchester in 2009.
