Tim Grace specialises in civil litigation and employment law. In addition to traditional advocacy and oral advisory work, he has an extensive paper practice run electronically allowing rapid turnaround. Tim acts for claimants and defendants/respondents and has substantial experience advising local authorities and other public bodies as well as acting for individuals. In addition, he has experience in representing both individuals and organisations before disciplinary tribunals and in advising regarding Pensions and Financial Ombudsmen. Tim is regularly instructed in claims against local authorities, the prison service, NHS Trusts and has in-depth experience with regard to disciplinary cases against fire fighters and police officers. He also advises and acts in clinical and other professional negligence disputes. In preparation for the Administrative Court opening in Manchester in 2009 he attended the course of Administrative Court Procedures seminars given by Brian Thompson of Liverpool University Law School at Atlantic Chambers in 2008. This builds upon Tim's academic background in Administrative Law: he studied Constitutional and Administrative Law in the first and final years of his law degree at Oxford University. Tim is particularly interested in developing his public law practice with regard to medical and pharmaceutical regulation, prison law and professional disciplinary matters. |
