Abigail joined Chambers in January 2019 to commence Pupillage under the supervision of Amanda Howard. Abigail has observed advocacy within the Family Courts on a daily basis throughout her pupillage and is developing a busy family practice.
Prior to commencing Pupillage, Abigail achieved a Very Competent on the BPTC course with an Outstanding in Family Law, combined with a Distinction in LLM in Legal Practice. Before that, Abigail studied Law and Criminal Justice at Liverpool John Moores University graduating with a first class honours degree achieving a result within the top 3 of her cohort. Whilst studying at LJMU, Abigail enjoyed a Summer working in Malta at a Maltese law firm and achieved second place in the Essex Court Chambers - National Speaking Union Mooting Competition at the Royal Courts of Justice in June 2017.
Now in her second six, Abigail has already undertaken instructions relating to:
- Supervision Orders;
- Special Guardianship Orders;
- Non-Molestation Orders;
- Specific Issue Orders;
- Child Arrangement Orders; and
- Prohibited Steps Orders.
Abigail is keen to further develop her practice and welcomes instructions under both the Children Act and the Family Law Act.
Outside of work, Abigail is a keen horse-rider having competed at local level as well as having worked with horses in New York, USA, prior to her attending University.
