Krishma joined Chambers after completing a common law pupillage with a focus on personal injury and civil litigation under the supervision of Michael Armstrong.
She read law at university and has recently taken and passed the New York Bar exams (July 2015, pending admittance).
She undertook her Bar Professional Training Course at Nottingham Law School and achieved a Very Competent in 2012.
Krishma was awarded the Queen Mother's scholarship by Middle Temple in 2011.
She was also awarded the Hong Kong Scholarship by Middle Temple in 2013, which involved travelling to Hong Kong to work on a high profile professional negligence construction trial.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Krishma worked as an adjudicator for the Financial Ombudsman Service and dealt with insurance and other financial disputes.
Krishma grew up in Wembley, London and enjoys learning about wildlife.
Krishma is instructed to appear in small claims and fast track trials for personal injury cases and credit hire matters. She has also dealt with some contractual disputes.
She regularly appears for both Claimants and Defendants in County Court proceedings, including stage 3 protocol hearings, infant approvals, disposals, costs and case management hearings and allocation hearings. Further, she has frequently dealt with pre action disclosure applications and third party disclosure applications.
Krishma has experience in drafting statements of case, including Particulars of Claim, Schedules of Loss and Defences. She has also drafted a number of applications with supporting witness statements.
She advises on quantum, liability and causation in employer liability/occupier liability and road traffic accident claims.
Krishma has been instructed to attend Pre Inquest Review Hearings and has also dealt with a short inquest.
Krishma has advised the police on civil actions that are being brought against them and has represented the police at cost and case management hearings and disclosure applications.
Krishma is instructed by the Home Office to deal with asylum appeals at the First Tier.
