Mark practises in civil litigation principally in the field of personal injury acting for Claimants and Defendants. He has considerable experience in managing a busy practice in all types of personal injury matters including road traffic, employers' liability, industrial disease, clinical negligence and professional negligence.
Aside from personal injury he specialises in credit hire litigation and deals with all aspects of civil procedure and costs.
Mark acts in civil actions against the police (principally for police authorities) drawing on his broad training in civil and criminal matters as a common law junior.
He often conducts lectures and seminars on issues such as civil procedure as well as the areas of practice identified above.
More generally he enjoys broadening his practice in other aspects of civil litigation including technology and construction disputes, general commercial matters and costs.
Mark also has experience in employment law, judicial review, proceeds of crime and all quasi civil/criminal applications including CICA matters and inquests.
Away from the bar, Mark is a keen sportsman and plays regular football and cricket, he also runs the odd half marathon.
